Meet Your Host
Czech landscape and travel photographer, Jan Miřacký, is based in Prague. He is most fascinated by natural landscapes featuring mountains, lakes, and open vistas. His images combine vibrant colors, natural light, and simple compositions which together portray the beauty of his subjects.
He runs his own adventure tour guiding company and leads award-winning photography tours in the Czech Republic as well as internationally. His work has been published in books, national newspapers, and travel magazines including National Geographic Traveller. Jan also offers portfolio reviews, one-on-one sessions, private tutoring, and every autumn publishes a calendar of his landscape photography.
On a personal note: he is addicted to music, ideally punk rock for its fast and melodic rhythms. He loves snakes – the more dangerous the better – but has never owned one. Despite the general love for mushroom hunting in his country, he’s not a fan of eating them.
